Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for responsible and lawful use of NoiseWipe audio and video restoration services.

Effective August 3, 2026

This policy protects NoiseWipe users, recorded people, and our infrastructure. It applies to all content, accounts, API activity, and outputs associated with the service.

1. Rights, consent, and privacy

Only submit content you are legally permitted to process. Follow recording-consent, privacy, intellectual-property, confidentiality, and data-protection laws. Do not upload unlawfully intercepted communications, stolen media, or intimate content without the informed consent of the people depicted or recorded.

2. Harmful and deceptive use

Do not use NoiseWipe to facilitate fraud, impersonation, harassment, stalking, exploitation, blackmail, or threats. You may not present a materially altered recording as authentic evidence when doing so could deceive a reasonable person or cause harm. Restoration must not be used to fabricate quotations or conceal edits in legal, civic, employment, financial, or safety-critical contexts.

3. Illegal and abusive content

Do not process content that promotes or facilitates terrorism, child sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual material, trafficking, or instructions intended to cause serious physical harm. Legitimate documentary, educational, or reporting uses may be evaluated in context and remain subject to law.

4. Platform and security abuse

  • Do not probe, scan, or test systems without written authorization.
  • Do not introduce malware, overload infrastructure, or disrupt other users.
  • Do not evade quotas, access controls, suspensions, or payment requirements.
  • Do not scrape the service, resell access, or automate requests through undocumented means.
  • Do not use compromised credentials or conceal the source of abusive traffic.

5. Enforcement

We may remove content, limit processing, suspend accounts, preserve relevant records, or report conduct when reasonably necessary to enforce this policy, protect people, or comply with law. We consider context, severity, history, and the risk of continued harm. Urgent or severe cases may be acted on without advance notice.

6. Reporting concerns

Report suspected abuse to abuse@noisewipe.com. Include relevant URLs, job references, and a clear explanation, but do not send sensitive media unless requested through a secure channel. Good-faith reports are reviewed without guaranteeing a specific outcome.
